WHEP has been the voice of Baldwin County since 1953. Serving the community with up to date weather, news, and local sporting events we hope to make your experience with us an eventful one. WHEP first went on the air on May 31, 1953 when Howard E. Pill (H.E.P.) came to south Alabama along with a young man by the name of Jim Stewart - both determined to bring quality radio broadcasting to a growing Baldwin County. In 1961, Stewart acquired full ownership of WHEP and since Baldwin's first station went on the air years ago more than 60 years ago, the county has grown by leaps and bounds. So has WHEP! Since our early days on the AM dial, we've expanded our voice to Riviera Cable channel 7, 92.5 FM and can now be heard around the world via this website! WHEP has a variety of programming that is tailor-made for you, the listener. Radio Baldwin features Westwood One Radio News, Baldwin County news and weather, and Alabama Radio Network News. We also bring you Westwood One Sports, Foley Lions, Auburn Tigers, Troy Trojans, Atlanta Braves, NASCAR and more!
